My earlier experiences pushed me to pursue new mediums and techniques, even if it was seemingly random I’d run with an idea to see the outcome.
I began using acrylic Sharpie pens, experimenting with leaking them out and quickly whipping the paint over the canvas. This inspired me to begin using acrylic paints and learning how other abstract artists approach their artwork.
Some of my first pieces titled in tribute to Jackson Pollock were a total fluke. I actually didn’t know who he was or had I seen any of his work.
Since I was already doing the Sharpie technique on poster board I thought “hey let’s try this with acrylic on canvas”.
